Just last week, Lil Wayne was telling the world what he thought about Cash Money with a F-bomb.

But it looks like things have changed. Yesterday, Wayne’s lawyers dropped his lawsuit against Birdman and company.

Weezy was suing for $51 million, but it was understood that if Baby paid him the $10 million he was owed for Tha Carter V ($8 million advance, $2 million for completion) he would drop the lawsuit.

So did Birdman just pay?

The Cash Money boss has a long history of not bucking upuntil lawyers are about to drag him into court, and maybe this is what just happened.

And maybe this means we’ll be getting Tha Carter V sooner rather than later.

Rapper DMX may be finding himself in trouble with the law yet again as the “What’s My Name?” performer is being investigated as a suspect in an armed robbery. 

NBC New York reports that a 21-year-old man claims DMX (real name Earl Simmons), along with members of his entourage, robbed him at gunpoint at the Exxon gas station on U.S. Highway 21 in Newark, New Jersey. The victim told police that he encountered a man, whom he identified as the 44-year-old rapper, at around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 5. The victim went on the say that after having a brief conversation with DMX about rap music, suddenly a member of the entourage flashed a gun and demanded cash. 

According to the 21-year-old man, he pulled out about $3,200 from his pocket, which DMX grabbed from him. The rapper and his associates allegedly fled the scene in four black Cadillac Escalades. The man told detectives that he jumped in his own vehicle to tail the cars and was able to obtain a number from one of the license plates. 

The day before, DMX tweeted that he was attending a hip-hop concert on Saturday night at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark, which puts him in the city around that time. 

NBC attempted to reach out the rapper’s rep, but there has been no response. The rapper has had a string of arrests stemming back to 1998, with his most recent arrest being in November 2013 for driving under suspension, having an uninsured car, and driving without a license. 

No charges have been filed and police are asking for anyone with information to come forward.

Lil Kim’s ex-boyfriend Damion “World” Hardy went to trial on Wednesday for allegedly ordering multiple murders and leading a drug gang. This all dates back to a decade ago.

According to the New York Times

Hardy was reportedly the leader of a gang called the Cash Money Brothers, which is accused of commiting multiple murders and importing and trafficking narcotics for more than a decade,  Hardy was first arrested in 2004 for his involvement in drug trafficking.

Hardy was charged with “racketeering conspiracy, narcotics trafficking conspiracy, use of firearms and six murders in aide of racketeering,” in January of 2008.

Official court documents say

“He’s accused of ordering the assassination of a bouncer at a Brooklyn roller-skating rink in 1998 and that of a former bodyguard of Mike Tyson in 2003, according to NY Daily News.”

“He handed out death sentences with a simple line: ‘he has to go,'” prosecuted Rena Paul said during Brooklyn Federal Court. “World’s order was to kill on sight.”

What makes things so complex is that in 2008 a United States Bureau of Prisons psychologist examined Hardy and they concluded that he suffers from schizophrenia, and he is “incompetent to stand trial.”

Hardy has to be  medicated while incarcerated just so that he can be “competent to stand trial in six murders.”  Hardy in the past has reportedly attacked guards and even inmates.

The NY Daily News reports that on Wednesday, Judge Frederic Block of Federal District Court in Brooklyn found Hardy “mentally competent.”

Billboard reached out to Lil’ Kim’s management for comment.

Just because the Bills have added two quarterbacks this offseason doesn't mean Rex Ryan is ready to give up on EJ Manuel and just because Manuel hasn't done much in two seasons doesn't mean he's a bust.
The new Bills coach emphasized both points in an interview with the Buffalo News. First, Ryan didn't seem too concerned about the fact Manuel hasn't found a lot of success through the first two years of his career.
"Let"s not just throw him out after two years," Ryan said. "Aaron Rodgers never took a snap for three years. So let's see where [Manuel's] going to be."
It's not exactly comparing apples to apples. Rodgers spent the first three seasons of his career in a quarterback room with Brett Favre.
During Manuel's two seasons in Buffalo, the Bills quarterback room has consisted of Manuel, Thaddeus Lewis, Jeff Tuel and Kyle Orton -- and in 2015, Manuel's going to see two new faces: Matt Cassel and Tyrod Taylor.
The Bills traded for Cassel at the beginning of free agency and signed Taylor in mid-March.
Although Ryan hasn't given up on Manuel, he's not going to hand him the starting quarterback job either. Ryan said that there's going to be an open competition.
"I'm lining them up to literally have a competition for the position," Ryan said. "People will say, 'Well, is this guy ahead of the other?' There's going to be assumptions, but the great thing is, let it play out. Give both guys the opportunity and then at the end of the day, the cream will rise to the top. It usually does."
Manuel had just better hope the competition doesn't have a predetermined winner like the last competition Ryan coached in New York whenGeno Smith "beat out" Michael Vick for the Jets starting job.

Plies has become an entertaining personality on social media, specifically Instagram, with daily videos and PSAs. The rapper’s “Find Your” tour pulled into Club Coliseum in Tallahassee, Florida on Friday night, where things quickly turned bad on stage.

In various clips that have surfaced online, Plies appeared to be moving through the crowd towards the stage on the shoulders of a security guard. At one moment, Plies is heard calling back a fan that was getting kicked out of the venue. Once on stage, the unknown man appears to say some words to Plies and got called out by the rapper for getting too close. Seconds after, the man grabs Plies, suplexing him off stage and body slamming him into the ground. Security, who clearly are seen observing the attack on stage, quickly jump in the crowd and proceed to stomp on the attacker after.

Yesterday afternoon, Jay Z continued the press runfor his music streaming service, Tidal, at NYU for an informative Q&A session at the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music. Alongside Tidal executive Vania Schlogel​, Hov talked with students about the ins and outs of the company, from how it's put together to how they handle their artist royalties different from Spotify and other services.

On the subject of royalty payouts to artists, Jay said they plan to change the industry with how they go about the system. "There is no free tier and we'll pay the highest royalty percentage. That's how we'll change the industry," Jay said. Hov also broke down the subject of indie artists getting onto Tidal, and said they are really set to push their "Discovery Program," where major artists get to share music and other artists that they're fans of or have come across. 

A major question about Tidal has been the exclusive content that they will feature, especially with all of the major artists attached and so heavily involved. On whether or not people will be able to download or purchase said content, Jay revealed he wasn't sure at this moment. His major reasoning was that downloads are decreasing based on their research and that they think people would rather just stream a song or album rather than download it or purchase.

Maybe the most interesting part of the discussion came with the topic of how labels would interact with Tidal and if they plan to cut any ties at all. Jay said that if an artist has a deal with a label then they of course can't exclude the company, but he also noted that if an artist's contract expires, they can work out a deal on their own with Tidal. As an example of this, Jay pointed to himself. "I'm on Tidal. I don't have a record deal. So… yes."
